SEMPORNA: A Taiwanese tourist was shot dead and his wife is believed to have been kidnapped when gunmen raided a resort in Pulau Pom Pom in Semporna in the east coast of Sabah.The 57-year-old tourist identified as Lim Min Hsu was found with two gunshot wounds along the corridor of the water village resort at about 1am Friday.
His 58-year-old Taiwanese wife identified as An Wei Chang was missing following the incident.The couple arrived at the resort on Tuesday and were scheduled to leave the island on Nov 20.The Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar has confirmed the incident but not details were revealed.Villagers in Semporna said that there were no unusual activities in town but police and military were keeping vigilance."We heard there were shooting in one of the island but we are not sure what is all about," said a Semporna council worker.
